WAKEIN DEUNERT

Wakein Duenert brings deep community commitment and Pacific Islander leadership to her work with Canvasback Missions. Originally from Arno Atoll in the Marshall Islands and now based in Oakland, California, she has supported Canvasback’s work for more than a decade and remains actively involved with Pacific Islander organizations in both the Bay Area and the islands. She also serves as a member of the Pacific Islander Task Force, advocating for the wellbeing of her community.

Wakein works as a manager with United Home Improvement and is a proud mother of three and grandmother of six. She enjoys hiking, staying active, and traveling, and brings a strong spirit of service and connection to all she does with Canvasback.
