FAQs

  • 1) Can DAFpay be used to submit recurring donations?

No. The third-party financial institutes do not allow the setup of recurring payments.

  • 2) Can donors cover fees when using DAFpay?

Yes, however, some DAF providers require whole dollar amounts, which in most cases will not be compatible with the total amount including fees. In this scenario, the amount will be rounded to the nearest whole dollar within  and the donation will NOT record fees as having been covered. Similarly, if the donor opts to cover fees but then changes the donation will not automatically record the fees as having been covered. Canvasback donation record will be modified to reflect the fees being paid.

  • 3) What amount will my receipt reflect?

Your receipt will reflect the full donation amount, and Canvasback will link the donation to your account.

  • 4) How are distributions sent to Canvasback?

When you create a distribution using Canvasback’s DAFpay, your DAF provider sends a check or EFT to Canvasback directly. CB  can then update the distribution status within our database to track your DAF distributions. The funds are not processed or tracked directly by our database.
