A Stitch in Time . . . is a Miracle!

One day, Jacque Spence was sitting in the hospital cafeteria talking with the doctors, and they mentioned to her that they had a dire need for sutures.  She recalled that several weeks before, Dr. Robert Blue of  Pleasant Hill, Calif., had delivered more than $10,000 worth of suture material to the Canvasback office.  (The material was donated by Mt. Diablo Hospital in Concord, CA.)  Jacque had brought three boxes of hospital supplies with her, including lots of sutures, which she had not yet unpacked. "Giving them those sutures was like giving them gold," she says of the doctors' reactions when they saw them.
