OB/Gyns Help Women of Kosrae

A particularly happy moment came with the delivery of twins by Drs. James Barry Siebenlist and John Owens.  The mother was so grateful for the care she received that she named her babies James and John!

Program coordinator Jacque Spence shares about another of the patients the ob/gyn team was able to help:

"Friday's surgery was a blessing to the lady who had it. She had a huge cyst with a suspicious ovarian tumor the size of a basketball that made her look like she was six months pregnant! Dr. John Owens said he felt that this was the patient that the Lord had sent him to help.

"The doctors performed surgery, but couldn't get all the cancer out. There is hope that she may be eligible for chemotherapy through Tripler Medical Center in Honolulu. We may have saved her life—we definitely lengthened it."
