Sharing the love of Jesus through healing hands

Welcome to Canvasback Missions

Are you wondering what we do? We send several medical mission teams to the Marshall Islands every year. Our mission field is growing. We are expanding to Honduras. Our volunteer medical professionals ministeries provide various kinds of medical and dental services to the people throughout the year. But we raise funds only once during the year. Our annual phon-a-thon is currently running to help provide the funds for our work.

Want to help us? You can make a financial gift online or call us at: (800) 793-7245. Help us show the love of God through the gift of healing hands.

Newsletter Just Released

Onboard - Winter 2012Hot off the digital presses. We've just released our Winter 2012 ONBOARD newsletter. Take a look at the pictorial tour of Micronesia as seen through the eyes and cameras of our volunteers. We performed 207 eye surgeries during our October trip. That means 207 Ebeye Islanders now have the gift of sight. You can see the appreciation on the faces of the people. We cannot express our appreciation enough to all the people who help us. We are not alone in our work; our volunteers are a vital part of what we do. And so are you. Through your prayers and faithful giving we have provided over $3M dollars in medical healing to our dear friends on the other side of the Pacific Ocean.

“And Jesus healed many who had various diseases.” Mark 1:34

Canvasback has received another award

The Independent Charities Seal of Excellence is awarded to the members of Independent Charities of America and Local Independent Charities of America that have, upon rigorous independent review, been able to certify, document, and demonstrate on an annual basis that they meet the highest standards of public accountability, program effectiveness, and cost effectiveness. These standards include those required by the US Government for inclusion in the Combined Federal Campaign, probably the most exclusive fund drive in the world. Of the 1,000,000 charities operating in the United States today, it is estimated that fewer than 50,000, or 5 percent, meet or exceed these standards, and, of those, fewer than 2,000 have been awarded this Seal.
